Log Burner

A wood stove is the most popular, flexible and economical wood heating option and is defined as a space heater, designed to heat directly into the room. A stove can be located almost anywhere there is enough space and where the flue can be properly routed.

The service provided with regard to log burners can be tailored to suit the individual client’s needs.

HETAS qualified, we:

• Offer a site survey

• Work out the heat calculations to specify a suitably sized log boiler

• And inspect existing log burner or install a suitable flue

Chimney Sweeping Services

Ian will be pleased to advise you on the regularity of the sweeping of your appliance and look forward to continued business from both new and existing customers Please contact us to make a mutually agreeable appointment time, via the landline and leave your name, location and contact number, and they will return your call later the same day/evening.

Cleanliness is our Priority; No Mess No Stress, Fully insured and CRB Checked.

We sweep the following appliances using a brush and vac system. Open fires, Woodburners, Multi-fuel stoves, Aga's, Rayburns, Boilers and Gas fires (please note you will need a gas safe engineer to safely remove your appliance first).

We also fit Bird Guards and Cowls (Height and Access restriction can apply).

We have both been trained with, and are members of the Guilds of Master Sweeps which was formed in 1982 as a professional trade association, promoting high standards for the sweeping, inspection, and maintenance of chimneys, So you can be assured that all work undertaken will be performed to the highest industry standards.

Biomass Boilers

The biomass boilers service we provide can be tailored to suit the individual client’s needs.

HETAS qualified, we:

• Offer a site survey

• Work out the heat calculations to specify a suitably sized boiler and buffer tank (if required) to enable RHI payments

• As well as installing the boiler and flue

Call or email us today to find out more.

Pellet Boilers

Pellet burning stoves and boilers can offer a similar level of control as oil and gas appliances, making them an attractive choice for many. This is because unlike logs, the heat generated from wood pellets can be switched on and off quickly.

An intelligent pellet transfer system carries the fuel to the combustion chamber from the fuel storage area as heat is required. A sensor regulates a measured air supply and ignition is achieved automatically.

Pellet burning appliances can heat a single room, a whole house or commercial applications.

Log Boilers

Modern biomass log boilers provide clean and efficient heating, suitable for all domestic-sized situations and smaller commercial applications. They operate at high levels of efficiency and have large fuelling chambers. More labour intensive than pellet boilers, log boilers begin to become less practical if the system design requires regular refuelling. However, a correctly sized log boiler in average winter weather conditions will be ignited and fuelled once per day. During combustion process more energy (heated water) will be produced than is required at the time. This excess heated water is transferred and stored in a buffer tank. This is a large vessel of stored heated water containing the energy from the wood. This accumulated energy can be stored for long periods until it is used for heating or hot water requirements.

Solar Thermal Installers

Solar water heating systems provide a cost effective solution for heating the water used for washing and bathing.

Solar Water Heating Systems

• Provide 60-70% of your hot water needs

• Integrate well with biomass

• Are fully automated and require no user intervention once installed

• Integrate with under floor heating

Solar water heating systems use energy from the sun to heat domestic hot water. A boiler or immersion heater can be used to make the water hotter, or to provide hot water when solar energy is unavailable.

Solar water heating systems use solar panels, fitted to your roof. These panels collect heat from the sun, a heat transfer system then transfers the heat collected to a dedicated solar hot water cylinder, where the hot water is stored for later use. A boiler or immersion heater can be used as a back up to heat the water further to reach the temperature you want.

The system could provide most of your hot water in the summer, less during the winter, but even so could supply up to 60-70% of your hot water for free.

You may be able to receive payments for the heat you generate from a solar water heating system through the government's Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). Correct sizing of the solar collector area is essential, and the size of the solar cylinder depends on how many people you will need to supply.
